‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer Finally Released

vingadores.

The world stood still Wednesday as Marvel Studios finally released the trailer to the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and it did not disappoint.

We get to see quite a bit in the two minute and twenty four second clip. Things that Marvel fans have been waiting at least ten years to see on the big screen and even longer for the diehards.

There’s Tony Stark and Bruce Banner visiting Doctor Strange and Wong in the Sanctum Sanctorum. There’s Spider-Man in his amazing looking Iron Spider suit. There’s Bearded Captain America and The Winter Soldier with a new arm in Wakanda with Black Panther and a TON of his friends. There’s a human form Vision (WHAT??!!) and There’s Thanos laying waste to superheroes with only two stones in the Infinity Gauntlet. Imagine what he’s going to do when he’s at full infinity power.

The stakes are certainly higher than they have ever been before and The Avengers will be facing their biggest and most terrifying threat so far.

Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters May 4, 2018.

Matt Reeves To Direct ‘The Batman’!!!

the20batman20main

Warner Bros. has reportedly found their man to helm the next solo Batman film.

Matt Reeves is rumored to be in early negotiations to take over directing duties of ‘The Batman’ from Ben Affleck after Affleck stepped down from the position earlier this year.

Variety is reporting that their sources have told them Reeves has already committed to the project but the deal hasn’t been officially signed yet. Variety was also the first to report that the ‘Cloverfield’ director was high on a shortlist of directors they had in mind once Affleck decided not to direct but meetings with other film makers were still ongoing until recently.

This particular situation is not strange to Matt Reeves though. Reeves actually has replaced a director before as he did by stepping into the ‘Planet Of The Apes’ rebooted franchise when he took over ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’ from Rupert Wyatt after Wyatt had successfully brought the franchise back to prominence with 2011’s ‘Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes’. Even with that pressure on his back Reeves’ installment in the Apes series was just as critically acclaimed and financially successful as Wyatt’s installment. Which bodes well for Warner Bros.

If the deal officially goes through Ben Affleck will still have a huge role in the film. This will be the first standalone Batman film for Affleck who besides portraying the caped crusader, has co-written the script with DC head honcho Geoff Johns and also will be a producer on the movie as well. The step down from directing will give Affleck more time to focus on his portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman who he feels warrants such focus because of how iconic a character he is.

With the director questions seemingly out of the way, the attention now turns to when will ‘The Batman’ start production? Reeves is currently in post production on ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’ which is scheduled for a July release this year but should be freed up to begin his prep work for ‘The Batman’ right after. Filming was supposed to start in May but after Affleck stepping down as director and coming off a very busy 2016 that included shooting and publicity tours for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, ‘The Accountant’ and his passion project ‘Live By Night’, taking a break and pushing back the start date is more than understandable, especially since there will be more publicity coming this year for the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie. That being said, seeing as how fast Warner Bros. and company has hired a new director would lead one to believe that production will be starting sooner rather than later.

While this will be Matt Reeves’ first foray into the comic book world, his past films have included dealing with monsters the size of skyscrapers, super intelligent-human like apes and even vampires (‘Let Me In’), so I think he is well equipped to take on ‘The Dark Knight’ and make a fantastic movie.

First Look At Superman In Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Reveals New Suit!!!

Superman Dawn Of Justice 2The first official image of Henry Cavil as Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been released and it is AMAZING!!! Cavill has really beefed up to the point he looks even bigger now than he did in Man Of Steel. Superman looks like a complete BEAST!!! Which in combination with the way Ben Affleck has beefed up for his role as Batman has me even more excited for this upcoming superhero smash. In the new picture you can also see some very subtle but noticeable changes to the suit that i think really makes it look new and even better than the Man Of Steel suit. The first thing I noticed was the change in the belt. It’s a rectangular shape now as opposed to the circular one and the color has changed to more of blue/white color. The design around Superman’s wrist and torso area are a bit different and the famous iconic “S” symbol looks slightly different on the suit, perhaps it’s a bit more raised on the chest and the color is slightly altered. All of these changes are subtle but all together they make the suit look so much cooler and better overall. Personally, I’m ecstatic about the new image of Superman and coming off the reveal of Affleck in the Batman suit and how amazing that looked, I’m totally excited for the Batman v Superman movie. In an interview with USA Today, who released the image, director Zack Snyder said “Cavill is definitely more comfortable in the role the second time around…The more time I spend with Henry, the more he’s Superman to me.” And it shows, Cavill looks like a stronger, more confident Supes in the new image. Which can only mean great things for the Man Of Steel on the big screen. Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016.

First Tease At New Batmobile For Man Of Steel 2 AKA Batman VS Superman!!!

First Tease Of New Batmobile For Man Of Steel 2 AKA Batman VS Superman!!!

Man Of Steel Director, Zack Snyder has tweeted a teaser image of the new Batmobile for his upcoming Man Of Steel sequel which is tentatively being called Man Of Steel 2 and/or Batman VS Superman. As we all know by now, Ben Affleck is set to portray the caped crusader in this film and everyone and their mama has been chomping at the bit for any information or footage or pictures of anything to do with this movie. Snyder himself provided the masses with that as he has tweeted an image of the new Batmobile albeit Batman’s ride is conveniently covered by a large black tarp only revealing the back wheels and something resembling bat wings on the top, similar to the Batmobile from the Tim Burton directed movies. Don’t fret yet Batfans, cause Mr. Snyder said in the tweet, “Could be time to pull the tarp…Tomorrow?” So we may just get the full reveal and look of the Batman’s ride, this time tomorrow.

The Rock To Be The New Green Lantern In Batman Vs Superman/Man Of Steel 2?!!!

The Rock To Be The New Green Lantern In Batman Vs Superman/Man Of Steel 2?!!!

There is now speculation that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be Green Lantern, John Stewart in the sequel to last summer’s smash movie “Man Of Steel”. The action star had an interesting Instagram photo a while ago that caught quite a few people’s eyes and is gaining attention again now due to the latest rumblings surrounding Warner Bros. and their DC Universe projects. The hashtag to the photo read, “#JohnStewartCanStillWhupSupermansAss” (which he totally can’t by the way), hence the speculation. Just in the last couple of weeks, rumors were rampant that Johnson would be cast as Superman nemesis Darkseid, who is a villain so powerful it surely would be the catalyst to bring about the creation of the Justice League. The justice League eventually forming has been pretty much considered a given with the casting announcements that have been made for the Batman/Superman film. The question is will we see the true beginnings of it in Man Of Steel 2 or will the Justice League movie be filmed back to back with the Batman/Superman/MOS2 film and that’s when we see The League formed? What do you think? Would you rather see The Rock as Green Lantern John Stewart or as Darkseid? Jesse Eisenberg Cast As Lex Luthor In Batman Vs Superman/Man Of Steel 2 Movie!!! Jeremy Irons Also Cast As Alfred Pennyworth!!!

Jesse Eisenberg Cast As Lex Luthor In Batman Vs Superman/Man Of Steel 2 Movie!!! Jeremy Irons Also Cast As Alfred Pennyworth!!!

Warner Bros. Pictures made a huge and shocking annoncement today as they have officially announced the casting of Academy Award nominated actor (The Social Network) Jesse Eisenberg as Superman’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor and Academy Award winning actor  (Reversal Of Fortune) Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, the world famous butler, mentor and father figure to Bruce Wayne AKA Batman, who of course will be played by Ben Affleck. Responses are already heated about the casting of Eisenberg , who most believe isn’t the right fit to portray the vicious, dark, power obsessed maniac that is Lex Luthor. Meanwhile Jeremy Irons’ casting as trusty butler Alfred has been more well received as he is an established talented actor with a proven ability to have a strong range. The sequel to last year’s blockbuster Man Of Steel has had it’s fair share of criticism with many fans not approving of the casting of several of the roles including a large backlash when Affleck was initially announced as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Gal Gadot’s hiring to be DC Comics Superheroine Wonder Woman (who will at least make a cameo in the Batman Vs Superman film) was also met with dislike We can only wait and see how this will all turn out. And that wait will be a bit longer than originally anticipated as Man Of Steel 2/Batman Vs Superman has been pushed back from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016.

Doomsday Mentioned in Man Of Steel Blu-Ray!!!

Doomsday Mentioned In Man Of Steel Blu-Ray!!!

Could Doomsday be in Superman’s Theatrical Future?!!! In the Special Features of the Man Of Steel Blu-Ray to be released nation wide tomorrow (November 12th, 2013) there is an interesting nod to “The One Who Killed Superman.” In a feature called Learn About Krypton, some Kryptonian language is being deciphered and a warning about “Bertron’s Curse” can be seen. The ominous message states “We remember those who fell during the Last War…Beware Bertron’s curse for he is named Doomsday.” Pretty cool, and a nice little nod to all us fans who have wanted to see the epic battle of Superman & Doomsday played out on the big screen. I don’t believe this will happen in Man Of steel 2 AKA Batman Vs Superman, and I also don’t believe this will necessarily happen in the potential Justice League movies either. I could see the seeds being planted in the Justice League movies and Doomsday finally appearing in either the final Man Of Steel movie or the one before the last film. What do you guys think? Are you excited for the possibilities?
